Applying Vinyl
VINYL APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Tools Needed:
- 1 pint of water mixed with 4 drops of baby shampoo (stirred not shaken)
- Isopropyl alcohol and water 70/30 blend
- Plastic squeegee
- Window razor scraper
- Razor knife
- Tape measure
Step 1: Clean window with isopropyl alcohol and widow razor scraper to remove any dirt.
Step 2: Wipe window with isopropyl alcohol and water mixture one more time to make sure window is thoroughly clean.
Step 3: Spray the window with baby shampoo and water mixture, saturate the entire area. Remove liner on graphic and spray adhesive side with same water mixture. This step may require two people.
Step 4: Apply the graphic to the wet window. The solution allows you to easily adjust the position of the graphic into the right place.
Step 5: Spray surface of graphic to allow your tools to glide easily across the surface.
Step 6: Using firm strokes from the top to bottom, left to right overlapping your strokes. Try to remove as much fluid from graphic as possible.
Step 7: Carefully peel transfer take off the graphic making sure the graphic adheres to the window
Step 8: After thirty minutes re-squeegee the edges
Step 9: Trim graphic 1/8” from rubber seals if necessary. We recommend cutting the graphic to the correct size before installing.
Step 10: back and admire your work!
